My name is John Headley and I've been a student of Lex's for the last year or more. Lex is an amazing teacher, and she excels on multiple levels. First, the rap - even when time is limited, we spend time on a bit of philosophy related to yoga or life, relating most times to the ancient teachings in a way that connects directly to modern life. Second, the asana - the sequences are well planned, build on each other, and are challenging! She has an eagle eye for misalignment and will sort you out even over Zoom if necessary. I find myself benefitting from her corrections to others all the time ("am I doing that?, oh yes"). Third, the surprise - I can't tell you how many times we got to the pinnacle and when I heard the instruction I thought: "no way". But then with her coaching - it happened! Fourth - the intangibles. The room is hot, the beats are booming, the instructions are shouting out - a class with Lex is a full sensory experience :). There's a reason her classes at CorePower were filled to capacity, and why I went 20 minutes early to get a spot - it's a fantastic chance to learn and have a great time, drained but much better for the experience.
Lex! I did a practice today on Your Daily Groove and I feel amazing. Vinyasa classes usually leave me feeling jittery and like my nervous system is a mess, and even though class was so fun and playful with lots of movement, I feel grounded and so good in my body. Thank you! - Leslie W.

LEXtures
These are the typical “opening lectures” or “opening ceremonies” of class - they set the scene, the intention and the mood for the practice or for your day.
All lectures are inspired by yogic philosophy and other contemplative teachings that explore lessons and tips to help live fully and joyfully as modern day yogis.
The Zen Zone
Guided meditations to help calm the turbulent fluctuations of the mind, decrease anxiety and promote inner peace.
Because we believe meditation isn’t something you can “do,” YDG believes the consistent practice of stillness prepares us for those meditative moments that feel like heaven, taste like sweetness and are as valuable as gold.

QUICKIES are short and effective classes designed to get you back into your groove and feeling good…quickly!
There is a wide range of classes from AM + PM flows, pajamas classes, hips/hamstring opening flows, handstand drills, core classes, full body workouts and more.
Confident Core
This 14 day series works the core directly and indirectly helping to build confidence on the inside and out.
When the core is strengthened, the spine is supported and we stand up a little bit taller and hold our heads a little bit higher. We feel more confident in our own bodies and as we all know, nothing beats feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin.
Just finished an AMAZING 8 week zoom class. It was so fulfilling, really kept my days and weeks on track. I benefited from the other students' presences and energy as Lex guided us through a super challenging class, weaving in inspiring philosophy to motivate, heal and balance. Lex's verbal adjustments take the practice to a deeper level while preventing injury as we learn to align ourselves. She empowers her students by strengthening our bodies and focusing our wandering minds. Lex takes her calling to teach very seriously and her dedication is palpable. Lex is a yoga teacher like no other! Her style of teaching, explanation and demonstration takes me to a depth I have never experienced.
